How do I make a reservation? You can make a reservation for any service by calling us at (949) 309-2462 - press 0 to speak to our reservation desk. You can also make reservations for most services online. Click on the 3rd item in the left hand navigation of this website - "Book Appointments Online" - to get started.
Where are you located? We are in the Jamboree Promenade Shopping Center which is on the corner of Jamboree and Dupont in Irvine. We are in the 2626 building which is to the right of the entrance. Triad Yoga (a fantastic yoga studio that keeps me centered), Joe’s Pizza (the best pizza in Orange County – I can’t stop eating it) and The Tanning Spa (I go there for Mystic Tans) are some of our neighbors. Where do I park? Jamboree Promenade Shopping Center has extensive underground parking as well as above ground parking. When I looked for locations, I specifically looked for a place where parking would never be a problem. To park underground, simply keep going straight after you enter Jamboree Promenade. Keep going to your left and you'll park right near the stairs that lead closest to our front door.
Do you take credit cards? Yes. We take Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Do you take checks? No. Unfortunately we do not take checks
What days and hours are you open? We are available for regular appointments every day except Sundays, however we do take Sunday and after hours appointments by request. Monday appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. (please feel free to book your Monday appointments online). We are open until 6 pm most days. On Tuesdays and Thursdays we are open until 7 pm.
What if my appointment goes past closing time? You won't get kicked out or necessarily have to setttle your bill at closing time, and your stylist won't hurry you along. Each Beauty Heaven stylist has the ability to stay as long as they need to in the salon in order to finish your service, settle your bill and sell you any retail products you might need (or just be craving).
What services do you offer? We specialize in the following services: haircuts, hair color, updos, Great Lengths Hair Extensions, Keratin Smoothing, makeup, NOVALASH eyelash extensions, and eyebrow waxing.
How do I pick a stylist at your salon? At Beauty Heaven, every stylist has been hand picked by me and my Creative Director, Cari Sluder and all the stylists go through the same training and quality control process so you can rest assured that the results will be the same regardless of who you go to. We encourage you to look at the sections of our website where we display our work and read our stylist profiles so that you can pick a stylist that you feel you’ll be most comfortable with.
If I make an appointment with a stylist will they be doing my hair, or will an assistant do my hair? This is another issue I faced when I was a client. Why should I pay $450 for a “master colorist” to do my hair, when he had his assistant work on me 75% of the time I was there? At Beauty Heaven, our stylists do all the critical work themselves. Furthermore, we don’t overbook our stylists so that they feel rushed or have to limit their time with you.
What if I love Beauty Heaven but I think I might want to change to a different stylist? Don’t worry about hurting anyone’s feelings. We work as a team at Beauty Heaven and we all want you to find the stylist you feel most comfortable with.
I'm interested in hair extensions. What kind do you use? We specialize in Great Lengths 100% Hair Extensions because of the qualify of the hair and their patented, damage free protein bond.
How much do Hair Extensions cost? We need to know a number of things to determine the cost of your extension service. How long is your natural hair? What is your hair texture? How thick/thin is your natural hair? Are you looking to add length or just thickness? Does your current haircolor require that the extension hair be pre-blended? Your hair extension service could cost anywhere from $250 to $3000. We suggest that you come in for a free consultation to learn about what your options are and the corresponding price. Will hair extensions damage my hair? Even Great Lengths hair extensions can damage your hair if they are applied or removed by an inexperienced stylist. Other salons allow their stylists to start applying extensions to clients once they complete a 3 day certification. At Beauty Heaven, our stylists must complete a 6 month quality control program before they are allowed to apply extensions to a client. Extensions can also damage your hair if it is overprocessed and if you do not follow the recommended home care. Your Beauty Heaven stylist will work with you to make sure that your hair is healthy before they apply the extensions and we wil send you home with everything you will need to take care of your extensions at home. How do you set your service prices? When I was a client, I found the prices at other salons to be confusing. I didn’t understand why the menu would say “starts at” a certain price but then the actual price was very different. It turns out that in some salons, each stylist charges a different price. The menu would list the lowest cost stylist as the starting price, but you would offten want to work with a different stylist who charged a different price. Some salons would charge prices based on different monikers they gave their stylists (“top colorist,” “master colorists”) which also confused me. In fact, when I had been searching for my own colorist back in 2001 and had gone to many famous salons in Beverly Hills – it was the “master colorists” who did the worst job. We base our prices on very straightforward variables: the cost of the materials used and the time it takes for our extensively trained Beauty Heaven stylist to do the service.
Why is a blow dry a separate cost when I get a color service? Many salons have the assistant perform the blow dry after a color service. At Beauty Heaven a stylist performs the blow dry and adds final touches that will make you date-ready, camera-ready or just make-my-friends-jealous-ready. We also give our clients the option not to pay for a full blow dry if they are just getting a color service and running off to the gym (something I’ve done myself many times). If a client opts not to get a full blow dry, our stylists can do a complimentary “rough blow dry” which dries the hair and allows you to see your finished color.
What retail products do you carry? Every hair product or styling tool we carry is a "Beauty Heaven Favorite" which means that at least 2 staff members love, recommend and use the product at home. We constantly try out new products to see if they deserve to get the Beauty Heaven stamp of approval. We also carry accessories, clothing and other products that are my personal recommendations. Here are some of the products and other items that are currently on our favorites list: Pureology Nanoworks Shampoo and Conditioner, Paul Mitchell Quick Slip Styling Cream, Moroccan Oil, Enzo Milano Clipless Curling Iron in 25mm (1" round), Swarovski Crystal Purse Hooks, Croc Box Wallets, and beautiful note cards featuring photography from Lucky Ginger Studios.
How do you set your retail prices? As a former salon client (and beauty product junky), I always dreamed of getting great deals on retail. I loved getting recommendations about products in the salon but I knew that salons would charge me more than most other beauty product retailers. At Beauty Heaven, I want our clients to always get a great deal on retail, so we only mark up our products about 80% (not the 100%+ markup of other salons and retailers). If we get a great deal on products, we pass that savings on to you. This means that our prices are often better than establishments like Planet Beauty or Pure Beauty.
What if I I’m unhappy with my results? Our main goal is for you to be 100% satisfied with everything about Beauty Heaven – our service, our communication, and your results.
